Was ist: EXIT THE ROOM?
EXIT THE ROOM is a growing network founded by TaO! – Theater am Ortweinplatz (accredited institution at ERASMUS+) and spleen*graz.From 2022 to 2027, EXIT THE ROOM – funded by the EU’s ERASMUS+ program – facilitates European exchange between young adults with artistic interest. The aim is to turn the next generation into creators of their own programs and to encourage new forms of art discourse and mediation. By 2027, the project wants to establish a large network of Next Generation projects for European youth theatre.
The program includes residencies of YOUNG ARTISTS and their performative try-outs at the participating festivals, as well as expert discussions and networking meetings. Goals include the development of new forms of dialogue, reflection and encounter between young people accompanying theatre performances. The focus lies on strengthening the existing networks of aspiring artists with more established artists through workshops, dialogues and discourses.
